The situation with the incidence of new coronavirus and pneumonia in Dagestan began to stabilize, the number of admissions to hospitals in the region decreased by 1.3 times, the head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasiliev said at a meeting with the leadership of districts and cities on the current situation with new coronavirus infection in the Republic, according to the website of the head of the region on Thursday.

 

"The wave of diseases is on the decline. If in the first decade of September, an average of 350 people were admitted to hospitals daily, in the second this figure decreased by 1.3 times and amounted to about 265 people. Hospital discharge has increased markedly. Only in the last two days, 928 people were discharged while 428 were admitted to hospitals," Vasiliev's words are quoted on the website.

 

According to him, there are enough places in hospitals. "35% of the bed fund is free for COVID-19. Medicines and personal protective equipment are sufficient. Our doctors know how to treat it, and they have developed a lot of practice. The number of people tested every day exceeds 5 thousand, which allows you to start treatment on time. Today, there is a much smaller number of seriously ill people who are on artificial ventilation, and the number of deaths is also decreasing," the head of the region added.

 

He noted that the situation in the Republic "is under control, and in this regard, it is possible not to tighten restrictions on the activities of institutions, organizations in the economic and social sphere."

 

"The head of Dagestan also instructed to create the necessary conditions for those wishing to marry. Banquet halls can work, but only if the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor are met. Vladimir Vasiliev also spoke about the importance of timely vaccination, and also announced the arrival of specialists in disease prevention in Dagestan," the report says.

 

It is noted that the Republic "still has a mask and glove regime, as well as restrictions on migration, where necessary."

Earlier it was reported that due to the growing incidence of the Ministry of Health of Dagestan, additional hospitals and beds are being deployed daily based on monitoring the situation. Medical organizations in the region have created a reserve of the necessary 56 medicines and 11 items of personal protective equipment to fight the coronavirus for 308 million rubles. In addition, the Republic will form a reserve of anesthesiologists-resuscitators and therapeutic doctors for temporary employment in hospitals where patients with coronavirus infection are treated.

 

In Dagestan, a self-isolation regime has been in effect since March 31, and a masked regime has been introduced in most areas. According to the regional operational headquarters, as of September 23, 12,851 cases of infection were registered in Dagestan, including 83 over the past day, 11,033 people recovered, and 564 patients died.
