Agricultural Output in Kabardino-Balkaria Increases by Over 20 Billion Rubles in a Year

The total agricultural production in Kabardino-Balkaria (KBR) reached approximately 110 billion rubles in 2024, marking a 20 billion ruble increase compared to 2023, according to the KBR Head's Administration.

 

“The agricultural output produced by all categories of agricultural producers in KBR amounted to 110 billion rubles in 2024, up from 89.5 billion rubles in 2023. This year, the region harvested 1.1 million tons of grain and legumes, 160,500 tons of potatoes, and over 444,000 tons of vegetables. Fruit and berry production exceeded 1 million tons,” the administration stated.

 

Additionally, the region continued planting perennial fruit and berry crops, adding over 1,000 hectares in 2024, including about 120 hectares of nurseries. All new plantings utilized intensive and super-intensive cultivation methods. Moreover, more than 5,000 hectares of irrigated land were brought into operation, the statement added.
