Implementation of breakthrough projects worth 160 billion rubles is planned in Karachay-Cherkessia

The model of economic development of Karachay-Cherkess Republic (KCR) provides the realization of breakthrough projects for 160 billion rubles. This was reported on the website of the Kremlin following a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov.

 

"In fulfillment of the order of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, we are creating a model of economic development. This model includes breakthrough projects, as we call them, totaling 160 billion rubles in various sectors. This includes tourism, which we are also actively developing. It also includes industrial production and agriculture", Temrezov was quoted on the website.

 

As it is noted, it will allow to create about 10 thousand working places in the region.


According to Temrezov, by 2025, it is planned to create 3,5 thousand high-tech jobs in the region.

 

"The facilities that are being put into operation will give us such results ahead of time," he added.


In addition, according to the head of the KCR, the subject is actively paying attention to infrastructure budget loans, working with the Government of the Russian Federation. "Indeed, for us it is a breakthrough in development, including investment. The Ministry of Economic Development approved the loan for engineering infrastructure, or rather the program," he added.


The models of economic development of the North Caucasus Federal District were developed by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation together with the regions and approved in 2021. They include an assessment of the socio-economic situation, an analysis of the sectoral specialization of the regions of the district. Five breakthrough projects, capable of influencing the development of the territory as a whole, have been identified for each region of the North Caucasus Federal District.
