President Vladimir Putin extended his congratulations to the workforce and veterans of the Kamaz Group on the 50th anniversary of the production of its first truck, noting that the company’s vehicles are instrumental in helping the country achieve the objectives of the special military operation.
"Today, Kamaz is a true automotive giant and one of the largest industrial enterprises in the country. Its products perform reliably across diverse climates and road conditions, making them highly sought after in construction, mining, agriculture, urban transport, and various other sectors. Furthermore, the world-renowned Kamaz-Master team is famous globally as a multi-time winner of prestigious international competitions," the president’s message, published on the Kremlin website, stated. "Battle-tested Kamaz equipment serves the Motherland, helping our heroes achieve the goals of the special military operation."
The president noted that the construction of Kamaz brought together tens of thousands of people of different ages, nationalities, and professions on the banks of the Kama River. "A massive creative effort unfolded here, where bold ideas and cutting-edge technological solutions were born, and young people discovered new horizons. It was largely thanks to the selfless labor and enthusiasm of workers, engineers, surveyors, and designers that the first heavy-duty truck rolled off the main assembly line on February 16, 1976," he added.
Putin also emphasized that, just as they did decades ago, the professionals at Kamaz possess a deep knowledge and love for their craft. He observed that through the competence of the employees and the steady support from the state and the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan, the plant’s workers are meeting serious and unprecedented challenges with dignity. "Drawing on the experience and traditions of veterans, they are successfully tackling critical tasks, implementing modern design and engineering ideas, and utilizing environmentally friendly, safe technologies and materials. They are steadily improving the quality and competitiveness of their products, while prioritizing the timely and proper execution of the state defense order," he noted.
The president concluded by wishing the company's employees and veterans good health, success, and all the best.
