Bashkortostan will officially recognize December 21 as Large Family Day, a proposal set to be reviewed at the upcoming session of the regional State Assembly, the press service of the parliament announced.
“A bill has been introduced to establish Large Family Day, which will be celebrated on December 21. In fact, there is already a tradition in Bashkortostan of honoring families with many children at the end of each year: winners and finalists of the nationwide 'Family of the Year' project and other family competitions regularly gather at one of the republic’s top venues,” said State Assembly Chairman Konstantin Tolkachyov.
He added that the new date will help strengthen the family institution, preserve traditional family values, and promote multichild family life.
