Radiy Khabirov compared the coronavirus pandemic to fascism

28 April 2020

Speaking at the first international online forum "The World after the coronavirus: a view from the heart of Eurasia", the head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov compared the coronavirus pandemic to fascism, which affected both Europe and the Soviet Union.

"In the most critical moments humanity survives, life always wins and, accordingly, humanity begins to think about the future. This is how humanity works. I do not know whether it is appropriate or not, but I will draw a parallel – August 41, when Nazi Germany practically captured the whole of Europe and already invaded the territory of the Soviet Union and was victorious for the first time, in August 41, the states gathered and began to draw the contours of the new world that would be after the victory over fascism. We also need to talk about this now, in my opinion, " RIA Novosti quotes the head of the Republic as saying.

After the end of the pandemic, according to Khabirov, society will become much more informed, mobile and reflexive.

"And imagine what actually happened, just a month and a half, I'm talking about Russia, a man who considered himself Homo sapiens, turned from the king of animals to the object of hunting of the simplest microorganisms. Humanity launched rockets into space, studied the depths of the oceans, and now we are purposefully setting up our production, sewing masks, antiseptics. The person enjoyed freedom, and now sits in his apartment on self-isolation and is very tired, " the head of the region said.

In the future, society, according to Radiy Khabirov, "will strive for social stability, political and economic."

"Our country has well-organized work on the prevention of the coronavirus, even if you look at the mortality rate of the disease, we have a low level of mortality from the coronavirus, and the course of organizing measures in our country is the result of this, the mobilization of all power institutions around the strong leader, Russian President Vladimir Putin," he concluded.

It should be noted that the main topic of discussion at the first international online forum "The World after the coronavirus: a view from the heart of Eurasia", organized by the authorities of Bashkiria, was the prospects for the development of the global economy and social sphere.
