Ulfat Mustafin, the Mayor of Ufa, who fell ill with a coronavirus infection, died at the age of 62. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the head of Bashkiria.
“Today, October 29, after a difficult 35-day struggle with the infection, Ulfat Mansurovich Mustafin, the head of the Ufa administration, passed away as a result of complications caused by pneumonia and COVID-19”, the press-service says.
Ulfat Mustafin was born on May 4 1959 in Bashkiria. He graduated from the Ufa Aviation Institute with a degree in labor organization and rationing. Prior to his appointment as Mayor of Ufa, he worked in the regional structures of Gazprom, in the administration of the President of the Republic and the regional capital. During the last month, Radmil Muslimov, Mustafin’s First Deputy, acted as the Mayor of Ufa.
