A pensioner over a land dispute wounded three people with a gun in a Dagestani village, an imam of a mosque was killed, the attacker himself died of a stab wound, district authorities told RIA Novosti.
"On the outskirts of the village of Ameterkmakhi, Akushinsky district, a pensioner in the course of a scandal over a land plot fired shots at three people with a firearm. As a result one of them, the imam of the mosque, died on the spot", says a preliminary summary of the report of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in Akushinsky district submitted by the district authorities.
According to the document, one of the wounded stabbed the attacker in the neck with a knife, as a result the pensioner died.
Two people with gunshot wounds were brought to Akushinsky Central City Hospital.
The republican prosecutor's office has put the progress and results of the procedural check-up of the attack of an armed man on three people in Akushinsky district under control.
