Dagestan has moved to the second stage of lifting restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and is preparing for the third, the press service of the head of the region reports.


"Dagestan has completely moved to the second stage of lifting restrictions and is preparing for the third. This means that cafes and restaurants with open verandas, non - food retail facilities with an area of up to 800 square meters, some educational organizations, mosques and temples will be able to resume their activities," the report says.


It is noted that five sports halls can be opened in the region as "pilot" so that Dagestani athletes have the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming championships.


According to the authorities, in Dagestan, there is a steady trend towards a decrease in the rate of increase in morbidity. "So, it fell once again during the week by 0.2% and does not rise more than 2% on a daily basis. Over the past week, 24,591 laboratory tests were conducted on COVID-19. The average daily figure is already 3513, which corresponds to the third stage of lifting restrictions," the release notes.


It is reported that the region intends to work out the issue of testing for the coronavirus of all persons arriving from abroad.


The authorities of Dagestan have moved to the first stage of lifting restrictions since June 15. At that time, service companies and non-food stores with an area of up to 400 square meters started operating, and outdoor walks and sports were allowed, subject to the masked regime and social distance.


In Dagestan, a self-isolation regime has been in effect since March 31, and a masked regime has been introduced in most districts. The head of the Republic Vladimir Vasiliev, in his speech at the session of the regional Parliament on June 25, said that the expenditures aimed at fighting coronavirus infection in Dagestan amounted to 4.8 billion rubles.

 

According to the regional headquarters, 8,514 cases of infection were registered in Dagestan, 6,849 people recovered, and 415 died.
