In Makhachkala and Derbent, 20 people have been killed and 46 injured following attacks by militants. Among the victims are both law enforcement officers and civilians, according to Dagestan's Health Minister, Tatyana Belyaeva.
"As a result of the terrorist acts that occurred on June 23 in Makhachkala and Derbent, 46 people were injured, including civilians and law enforcement officers. Unfortunately, 20 people have died, with both law enforcement officers and civilians among the fatalities," said the minister in a statement published on the Health Ministry's Telegram channel.
The Ministry added that the condition of seven of the injured is considered critical.
