Mufti of Ingushetia Abdurakhman Martazanov died of the coronavirus.
This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Health of the Republic.
The religious figure was hospitalized last weekend. He was in a serious condition, he was connected to oxygen and took tests for the coronavirus.
The mufti was 64 years old.
Abdurakhman Martazanov was elected mufti of the Spiritual Center of Muslims of Ingushetia in July 2019 for five years. Before that, for 20 years, he was the qadi of the Republic.
According to the latest data, there are 29 cases of the coronavirus in Ingushetia, one person is in a serious condition.
