Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in the region's economy and social sphere at a meeting Wednesday with the head of Ingushetia, Mkhmud-Ali Kalimatov.
"I see that in the economy as a whole you have a stable situation, construction is growing," the president said.
He also drew attention to the fact that one of the social problems in Ingushetia is a lack of educational and pre-school institutions and schools. "So far the problem has not been completely solved, and there are still many children who study on the second and third shifts," said Putin.
Kalimatov agreed and told the head of state that about 20 schools and ten kindergartens will be commissioned in the region. "And by 2030, we still need a lot more," he added. The head of Ingushetia noted that this state of affairs is due, among other things, to the high birth rate and land shortage in the republic. At the same time, the region is in contact with the government to find ways to solve the problem, Kalimatov concluded.
