13 security officers were injured at an illegal rally in Vladikavkaz

During an illegal rally that took place in Vladikavkaz on April 20, 13 law enforcement officers were injured. A criminal case has been opened in connection with this incident, Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee at the North Ossetia reports.


"Unidentified persons not wanting to be detained and brought to administrative responsibility for the committed offense, and forcibly removed from the area, grossly violating the public order, used physical violence against 13 employees of Rosgvardiya and MIA, causing them injuries," the message reads.


Criminal cases were initiated under the articles "Hooliganism associated with resistance to a representative of the government performing duties to protect public order" and "Use of violence not dangerous to life or health against representatives of the government in connection with the performance of their official duties".


The protesters demanded the resignation of the head and government of the Republic, as well as the abolition of the self-isolation regime imposed due to the threat of the coronavirus infection spreading.


The court ordered administrative arrests of 13 participants of the illegal rally.


In North Ossetia, according to the latest data, 242 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, two people died.
