The operational situation in North Ossetia, where an unauthorized meeting took place on Monday, remains stable, the website of the head and government of the region reports.
The analysis of the situation, as noted, was conducted at a working meeting chaired by the head of the Republic Vyacheslav Bitarov.
"The participants of the event conducted a detailed analysis of the situation, and, as noted by the head of North Ossetia, Vyacheslav Bitarov, the operational situation in the Republic is stable and under full control. Due to the implementation of additional measures, an appropriate level of public order and security of the citizens of North Ossetia has been provided," the message reads, in particular.
At the same time, "the importance of strengthening work with the population was underlined, and their effectiveness directly depends on the concerted actions of Executive authorities, local governments, institutions of civil society."
In this regard, Bitarov "aimed the participants of the meeting at the fact that it is necessary to reach every resident of the Republic, strictly observe the requirements of self-isolation and perform the entire range of quarantine measures efficiently."
"Low-income residents of the Republic and those who were left without work during the pandemic are provided and will be provided with the necessary social assistance," the participants of the meeting noted.
According to official data, 200 people took part in the unauthorized meeting, demanding the end of the self-isolation and free movement, claiming that the virus is not dangerous. The protesters created a working group and spoke with the head of the region.
14 participants of the meeting, meanwhile, were arrested for 3 to 15 days. Cases were dealt with under articles of the Administrative Code "Disobedience to the lawful order or request of a police officer, soldier or employee of the authority or institution of the penal system and any employee of national guard troops of the Russian Federation in connection with the performance of their duties in maintaining public order and ensuring public security, as well as obstructing the execution of official duties" and "Organization of mass simultaneous stay and (or) movement of citizens in public places, which caused a violation of public order".
