Gainutdin congratulated Tatarstan on the 100th anniversary of the Republic

The Religious Board  of Muslims of the Russian Federation congratulated the residents of Tatarstan on the centenary of the formation of the Tatar ASSR, the website of the organization reports.


"On behalf of the Religious Board  of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Russian Muftis Council and personally myself I cordially congratulate the multiethnic and multireligious people of the Republic of Tatarstan with 100-anniversary of TASSR. This is a big, significant date for the Republic and its people, for Tatars all over the world, whose cultural and spiritual capital is Kazan, as well as for the system of federal relations in the modern Russian Federation,"  mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, the Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Russian Muftis Council, said.


The religious figure particularly stressed that the issues of inter-religious and inter-ethnic harmony, the preservation of traditional cultures, and the equality of communities and peoples in Tatarstan "are given the closest attention".


"I prayerfully wish the Republic of Tatarstan - my native Republic, which I am very proud of and cherish - peace, prosperity, so that thousands and thousands of loyal sons of Tatarstan glorify their native Republic as it was in its history," Gaynutdin concluded.
Earlier, Kazan hosted a solemn meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Decree "On the Autonomous Tatar Socialist Soviet Republic".


The event was attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who also heads the GSV "Russia – Islamic world", Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, a member of the Federation Council of the RF Federal Assembly Oleg Morozov and others.


The meeting, according to the press service of the President of Tatarstan, was held in compliance with all security measures. The number of invited people was halved to 75.


During his speech, Minnikhanov stressed that the formation of the Republic of Tatarstan was "a historical act of re-establishment of our statehood, played a decisive role in the realization of economic, political and socio-cultural rights of all peoples living on the territory of Tatarstan".


According to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, a powerful industrial, scientific and educational base was created in a short time, and the culture of the Tatar people flourished. All this created the necessary conditions for the transition to the current form of statehood - the Republic of Tatarstan.


Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that based on the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, 2020 was declared the year of the 100th anniversary of the Republic's formation in Tatarstan.


He expressed special words of gratitude to all generations of Tatarstan citizens who made a significant contribution to the formation and development of their native Republic.


"Special words of gratitude to the First President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, who had a decisive influence on the course of the modern history of Tatarstan!," -  Minnikhanov said.


"I cordially congratulate all residents of the Republic, our compatriots and friends on  100th anniversary! I wish you peace, happiness and prosperity, dear friends!" the President of Tatarstan said.


Rustam Minnikhanov added that the state award "100 years of the formation of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic" was established in honor of the landmark date. For the big contribution to the development of Tatarstan parliamentarism, a new award was given to the Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, member of the Committee of State Council RT on the economy, investments and entrepreneurship Marat Galeev, veterans of the Tatarstan Parliament Valentina Lipuzhina and Evgeny Bogachev.


The Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was formed as part of the RSFSR on May 27, 1920.
