A plane from the Russian Emergencies Ministry, carrying 25 tons of humanitarian aid gathered in Tatarstan for the residents of the Gaza Strip, departed from Kazan on Friday morning, as reported by the press service of the republic's head.

The airlift, aimed at delivering humanitarian aid to the population of the Gaza Strip from various regions in Russia, was organized following the directive of Russian President Vladimir Putin and under the instructions of Russian Emergencies Ministry head Alexander Kurenkov.

"On the morning of November 10, an IL-76 aircraft from the Russian Emergencies Ministry took off from Kazan International Airport, delivering humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip. This mission was conducted at the request of Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan," the report stated.

The cargo, weighing 25 tons, comprises food, personal hygiene products, clothing, portable stoves, and blankets. This humanitarian aid will be transported to the Arab Republic of Egypt and handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who will facilitate its transfer to the Gaza Strip.

The initiative was a collective effort involving the Religious Board of Muslims of Tatarstan, the regional movement "Yardam Yanashә! Help is Near!" and the "Zakat" charity fund.
