Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with the parents of the children and relatives of the teachers killed in the shooting in Kazan's School No. 175, he discussed aid issues with them, the press service of the head of the republic reports.
"The President of the Republic of Tatarstan today held a meeting with the parents of the children who died as a result of the tragedy in Kazan School No. 175. The meeting was also attended by relatives of the deceased teachers. Present at the meeting Mufti of Tatarstan and Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan recited memorial prayers," the statement reads.
It was pointed out that during the meeting Minnikhanov answered the questions of the relatives, and also discussed the organization of comprehensive assistance to the families of the victims.
The President of the Republic appointed responsible ministers to deal with all additional questions.
The largest recent mass murder took place in Russia on May 11 in Kazan: 19-year-old Ilnaz Galyaviev, according to investigators, staged an explosion and shooting in the secondary school No. 175 killing seven children and two female teachers, 24 other people were injured. The young man was arrested, on the criminal case of murder of two or more persons he faces life imprisonment.
