President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met today with President of the International Organization "Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum" Taha Ayhan.
The meeting was held at the RT Government House. The sides discussed issues of strengthening cooperation and further establishment of business contacts within the OIC. It was stressed that youth cooperation is an important component in strengthening international interaction.
Tatarstan was represented at the meeting by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva and Minister of Youth Affairs Timur Suleimanov.
It should be reminded that Kazan was chosen as the Youth Capital of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in 2022. It is the first time this serious status was granted to a city of an OIC observer country. Today Kazan hosts the closing events of the year "Kazan - the OIC Youth Capital 2022". Next year the status of the OIC Youth Capital will be given to a city from the African continent, which one, it is not known yet, said Taha Ayhan.
