Minnikhanov won the election of the head of Tatarstan

The current President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, according to preliminary data, won the election of the head of the Republic, gaining 83.28% of the vote after processing 100% of the protocols, said the Chairman of the Central election Commission of the region Andrey Kondratyev.


From September 11 to 13, the Republic held voting in the elections of the President of Tatarstan, deputies of representative bodies of municipalities, by-elections of the Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and by-elections of the Deputy of the State Council of Tatarstan. Five candidates competed for the post of head of the Republic: Alfred Valiev ("Communists of Russia"), Oleg Korobchenko ("Party of Growth"), Rustam Minnikhanov ("United Russia"), Almir Mikheev ("Fair Russia"), Vladimir Surchilov (LDPR). There are 2.94 million voters in Tatarstan.


"78.78% of the total number of voters took part in the elections... 1.93 million voters voted for Rustam Minnikhanov, which is 83.28%," Kondratyev told reporters.


Kondratyev noted that these results are preliminary, and the final results of the elections will be approved by the CEC of Tatarstan in the coming days.


"We had 50 complaints, serious complaints that can be regarded as an incident that we investigated, went out, dealt with, gave an answer… Of these, 26 came to us from the CEC of Russia... and there were two appeals to the Prosecutor's office. We have all worked them out," added the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Tatarstan.


In addition, according to his information, 536 calls were received to the hotline. Of these, 352 calls were of a general informational nature (work and location of polling stations, transport, etc.), and 131 requests for voting at home. Each call was also processed by representatives of the CEC of the Republic.


According to the head of the CEC of Tatarstan, Mikheev got 4.93%, Valiev-4.64%, Korobchenko-3.58%, Surchilov-2.84% of the vote.


In the 2015 Tatarstan presidential election, Minnikhanov won 94.4% of the vote with a turnout of 84.2%.


On a single day of voting on September 13, more than nine thousand election campaigns of all levels took place in 83 regions (except Kabardino-Balkaria and St. Petersburg). More than 78 thousand Deputy mandates and elected positions were replaced. According to the decision of the CEC, early voting took place during the previous two days, on September 11 and 12.
