The forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" is set to take place in Kazan from May 14 to May 19, with participation anticipated from over 80 countries, as announced by the forum's press service.
"We are expecting not only foreign guests but also participants from various regions of Russia. Presently, more than 80 countries have already confirmed their attendance. This underscores the significant interest in Kazan as a platform for fostering effective international relations," Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was quoted as saying.
According to the press service, representatives from the UAE, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Malaysia, the Republic of Turkey, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Libya, and other member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation have confirmed their participation in KazanForum. The forum aims to facilitate meetings of intergovernmental commissions between Russia and Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Kuwait, Palestine, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
