16 July 2020

Muslims of Tatarstan provided assistance to poor, incomplete and large families - they were given baby strollers, as well as food packages, the Zakat charitable foundation under the Religious Board of Muslims of Tatarstan reported.

"Assistance was given to the Foundation's wards: single mothers, mothers with many children and parents of special children living in Kazan. In addition to strollers, food packages were given to those in need, because many people lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic. The food package includes flour, cereals, sunflower oil, canned food, sweets, sugar, pasta and tea," the Foundation noted.

Earlier, believers of Tatarstan took part in the charity event "Ramadan - the month of good deeds", which lasted throughout the Holy month for Muslims. During it, funds were raised for the treatment of 12 seriously ill children. In addition, assistance was provided to 30 thousand people in need in various regions of the Republic - food packages were delivered to them.
