The Muslim Youth Forum, initiated in Tatarstan, has brought together over 130 young Muslims from various countries and regions across Russia. The official inauguration of the forum took place in Kazan, and the event is scheduled to continue until August 23, taking place in the city of Bolgar, the press service of the Religious Board of Muslims of Tatarstan reported.
"The forum has attracted 130 young Muslims aged 18 to 30 from various regions including Indonesia, Egypt, Great Britain, as well as different parts of Russia such as Tatarstan, Crimea, Bashkortostan, Kabardino-Balkaria (Nalchik), Chuvashia, Perm Krai, Moscow, Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Sverdlovsk region, Izhevsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Samara, and Khanty-Mansiysk," the statement reads.
The forum is held in the format of a tent city with a focus on charitable activities within the Muslim community. Its primary objective is to establish a communication platform that supports youth initiatives, encourages self-expression among Muslim youth, and enhances their spiritual growth.
The event will feature a range of activities including educational lectures, training sessions, workshops, hikes and excursions. The forum will also identify outstanding projects that can participate in a nationwide grant competition. Notably, the forum will host a prominent figure, Sheikh Abdur Rahim Lacrim, a teacher from Morocco affiliated with the Etablissement Ajial boufekrane Foundation.
