Two militants were liquidated during an anti-terrorist operation in Makhachkala, the information center of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC) told TASS on Wednesday.

According to the NAC, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced after receiving information about armed bandits hiding in the Leninsky district of Makhachkala, intending to commit a terrorist attack at one of the city's power engineering facilities. "The bandits detected near the power substation were asked to lay down their weapons and surrender to the authorities.
