100% Tatarstan: how information technologies change people’s lives

08 September 2020

“100% Tatarstan” is a unique communication platform where citizens, business representatives, government and experts openly discuss key issues of Tatarstan strategic development. IT industry became one of the spheres, which one of the platform working days was dedicated to. During the whole day experts from the sphere of high technologies presented the main digital achievements of the republic, shared the success available for today and announced the future changes.

Along with the direct employees of IT industry, the discussions were also attended by representatives of related industries - education, healthcare, agriculture, media, etc.

The panel discussion was dedicated to the practice of forming IT hub in Tatarstan. It was attended by Minister of Digital Development of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Khairullin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ICL group Victor Dyachkov, President of FIX group Dmitry Eremeev and CEO of Bars group Timur Akhmerov.

A separate block was dedicated to the “Digital Village” project, which was represented by Commissioner for Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Tatarstan Bulat Zamaliev. According to the project manager, the platform helps self-employed people to become couriers, villagers to use the same goods and services as city residents, and manufacturers to receive cash back for selling goods. “The idea of such a project was conceived in 2017 as a multifunctional center based on remote service. Now our project is a whole ecosystem that allows villagers to get the same opportunities as city residents – online ordering of goods and services, sale of farm products with cash back, job search, business consultations and opportunities to earn money-doing delivery of goods. Another important direction of the project is stores without salesmen”, Zamaliev noted. Today, on the territory of Kazan IT Park there is already a store without a salesman, which was realized within the “Digital Village” project. There is another one in Ribno-Slobodsky District. It is planned to launch a total of 8 such stores in the republic by the end of this year. “Our project is aimed at primarily those rural settlements where there are no stores. There are more than 500 such places in the republic. We do not deprive people of workplaces, but we make sure that people do not go to neighboring settlement to get bread or wait for a mobile shop”, Zamaliev added.

Online viewers could get acquainted with the work of the service “I am a Citizen” in more detail on one of the platforms of “100% Tatarstan”. “I am a Citizen” is one of the five super services to be launched in the Republic of Tatartan. This will be the first innovative digital platform in Russia that unites residents, local business and government. “It is important for us to create such a system where people will “live”, communicate and make important decisions together. We want to return the atmosphere of good neighborhood in our application”, the team of developers of the Centre for Digital Transformation of the Republic of Tatarstan said. To date, the prototype of the new digital tool includes the following main functional blocks: “Local Communities”, “Initiatives”, “Voting and Polls”, “Integration with Business” and “Management Companies”.

Head of Tatarstan Digital Transformation Centre Viktor Zubarev, General Director of the Information Technology Centre Denis Ulesov, General Director of “InnoSTage” Aidar Guzairov, Managing Partner of Technocracy Company Bulat Ganiev, Head of the Digital Transformation Centre at KAMAZ Eldar Shavaliev and many others took part in the discussion dedicated to the latest achievements of the Republic of Tatarstan in IT sphere.

Live broadcast and excursions from educational institutions of different levels that actively use modern IT technologies in their work were also organized throughout the day. Thus, for instance, one could learn more about the features of “School 21”, which is an educational initiative of Sberbank and is based on the methodology of “school of the future”. “School 21” trains world-class IT specialists using a unique educational methodology: without teachers, lectures and grades. This methodology is based on the peer-to-peer method, or collective learning. A separate discussion was organized by the employees of Innopolis. They not only told about how the IT capital of Russia appeared from scratch not far from Kazan, but also discussed the peculiarities of remote work, as well as possible advantages and disadvantages of this format of interaction. The topic of bullying and danger of computer addiction among children was of particular interest among online viewers.

We would like to remind that on August 30 the intellectual business space “100% Tatarstan” was launched. It allows experts in the leading sectors of economy to interact and discuss the main issues of strategic development of the region. The website will host discussions, live broadcasts, interviews and master classes, as well as panel discussions until September 10. According to the organizers, more than 300 sessions in 21 areas (IT industry, education, medicine, agriculture, tourism, entrepreneurship, biotechnologies and many others) are expected to be held during the work of the platform.
