A test drive of the Aurus Senat, assembled in the United Arab Emirates, was recently conducted, according to Russia's Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Alexey Gruzdev. Speaking at the “World of Opportunities” forum hosted by Roscongress and Synergy Corporation in the UAE, Gruzdev shared details of the test event.
“Today, I demonstrated the locally manufactured Aurus Senat to my colleague, the UAE's First Deputy Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology. We did a test drive, which generated significant interest and received high praise. This is an example of industrial cooperation taking shape here in the UAE. I believe we’ll expand this work further,” Gruzdev stated.
Meanwhile, Sergey Gorkov, Head of the Russian-Emirati Business Council, expressed optimism that the Aurus Senat will be driving on Dubai’s roads by next year.
The assembly of Aurus vehicles began in Dubai in November 2023. The initial model to roll off the production line is the Aurus Senat sedan, with plans to expand to the Komendant SUV, as announced earlier by Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Denis Manturov.
