Accounts Chamber of Russia Prioritizes Cooperation with Saudi Arabia and African Nations

17 April

The strengthening of international relations stands as a cornerstone priority for the Accounts Chamber of Russia, with a particular focus on fostering ties with Saudi Arabia and multiple African states, Galina Izotova, Acting Chair of the Accounts Chamber, told reporters.

"In essence, the strengthening of international relations stands as a cornerstone priority of the Accounts Chamber. This year, notable strides have been made in our engagement with Saudi Arabia. We anticipate the participation of several executives in a specialized event during the summit of the supreme audit institutions of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa - TASS), scheduled for July in Ufa. Merely last week, we hosted the heads of the supreme audit institutions from three African nations - Burkina Faso, Burundi, and Mali. Subsequent to these meetings, we formalized three cooperation agreements," remarked Izotova.

The Russian delegation is currently engaged in the XXVI symposium of INTOSAI (the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions of UN member countries) in Vienna. The central theme of the symposium revolves around the role of supreme audit institutions in combating climate change.
