Afghanistan is in discussions with Russia to enable the use of Mir payment cards within its territory, Afghanistan's Ambassador to Moscow Gul Hassan Hassan confirmed to Izvestia newspaper.
“Work is underway in this area, and negotiations are ongoing,” stated the ambassador. “We aim to facilitate seamless financial transactions for commercial purchases without restrictions.”
The ambassador emphasized that implementing the Mir card system would strengthen bilateral trade ties and potentially increase tourist flows from Russia to Afghanistan.
