Signed on July 3, 2023, the agreement between the governments of Russia and Kuwait became effective on March 12, 2024.

"This agreement is concluded for a period of five years, thereafter it shall be automatically extended for five-year periods unless either party notifies the other party in writing through diplomatic channels at least six months prior to the expiration of the initial or any successive period of its intention to terminate it," states the text of the document.

According to the agreement, the parties have committed to cooperate in various areas, including the supply of arms and military equipment, ensuring the operation, repair, and modernization of military products, supplying spare parts and components, providing services in military-technical cooperation, cooperating in development and production, and training personnel in relevant educational institutions.

Additionally, the countries may send specialists to assist in the implementation of joint programs in the field of military-technical cooperation.

Furthermore, the document stipulates that neither party may sell or transfer to any third party, including international organizations, foreign legal entities, and/or individuals, armaments and military equipment, technical documentation for their production, as well as other military products received or acquired during military-technical cooperation and the implementation of contracts concluded under the agreement without the prior written consent of the other party.
