Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev expressed appreciation to Russian counterparts and affirmed Azerbaijan’s readiness to continue strengthening economic ties with Russia.
“The Azerbaijani side is ready to continue constructive cooperation on all aspects of the Azerbaijan-Russia economic agenda,” Mustafayev stated during a session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
He also emphasized the importance of working closely with Russian regions across various sectors. “Azerbaijan maintains economic relations with about 80 federal subjects of the Russian Federation, and around 20 of these have signed agreements on trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation,” he noted.
Tourism was highlighted as a key and priority area of collaboration. “A joint roadmap for tourism development for 2024–2026 is currently in place,” Mustafayev added.
