Azerbaijan-Russia Trade Turnover Increases by 5.2% Over Seven Months

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia from January to July 2024 reached $2.573 billion, marking a 5.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023, when it stood at $2.445 billion. This information was reported by the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

 

According to the committee's data, Azerbaijani exports to Russia during these seven months amounted to $656.046 million, which represents a 7.8% decrease. On the other hand, imports from Russia rose by 10.6%, totaling $1.734 billion.

 

Russia ranked as Azerbaijan's third-largest trading partner during this period, following Italy and Turkey. Trade with Russia accounted for 9.57% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover.

 

In 2023, the trade turnover between the two countries increased by 17.5% compared to the previous year, reaching $4.358 billion. Trade with Russia represented 8.52% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover for that year.
