Cavusoglu says Turkey wants to achieve visa-free regime with Russia

Turkey hopes that Russia will introduce a visa-free regime for Turkish citizens, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Tuesday following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.


The Turkish minister drew attention to the fact that Russian citizens may enter Turkey without visas.


"We also wish that there would be a full visa-free regime for Turkish citizens as well, and our relevant security structures will make the necessary preparations," Cavusoglu said. - "This year, despite the pandemic, we took appropriate measures for safe tourism and we are very pleased that 2 million Russian tourists visited our country."
