Chirchik Technopark in Uzbekistan Exports Over Half of Its Output

04 April

In 2024, companies operating in the Chirchik Technopark in Uzbekistan exported 53% of their total production, according to Ayrat Gizzatullin, CEO of Russia's Khimgrad Technopolis. The industrial park was established in cooperation with Tatarstan’s Khimgrad and has become a significant regional export hub.

"More than half of the products manufactured in Chirchik were shipped abroad, mainly to neighboring Central Asian countries like Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. This shows that the project is not just a domestic success for Uzbekistan but also an effective regional player," Gizzatullin said at the EnergoProm international energy forum in Kazan.

Currently, 19 companies are operating in Chirchik, and the number of residents is expected to grow. Another industrial site — the Jizzakh Technopark, also developed in partnership with Khimgrad — has four resident companies so far, with more expected to join soon.

Chirchik is a chemical-industrial park designed to host both local and international businesses. It boasts well-developed infrastructure, including readily accessible energy and utility connections for all facilities.
