Iranian airline Mahan Air will begin operating direct flights between Kazan and Tehran starting July 2, according to the Kazan Airport’s official Telegram channel.
“Beginning July 2, 2025, Mahan Air will launch direct flights on the Kazan–Tehran–Kazan route twice a week. The agreement was reached during negotiations between a Tatarstan delegation and Mahan Air, with the support of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan,” the statement said.
Flights will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The press service of Tatarstan’s State Committee for Tourism noted that as part of ongoing cooperation, joint promotional events are planned to highlight Tatarstan’s tourism potential for the Iranian market, and to promote Iran as an attractive travel destination for residents of Tatarstan.
