The export of car spare parts from Iran to Russia has surged by 450% over the past two years, reaching a total of $66 million, representatives of Iranian automobile companies during the MIMS Automobility Moscow exhibition reported.
Executives from Iran Khodro and Saipa expressed optimism in an interview with the Iranian TV channel IRIB, stating that the rising exports of Iranian spare parts to Russia are expected to further boost trade between the two countries. This increase is seen as a key factor in meeting the growing demand in the Russian automotive components market.
On August 21, Iranian Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry, and Mining Farshad Moghimi held discussions with representatives from Avtovaz, focusing on the prospects of further exports to support Russia's automotive industry. Moghimi also proposed the idea of creating a consortium to facilitate the supply of Iranian goods to Russia.
The MIMS Automobility Moscow exhibition took place at the Expocentre from August 19 to 22.
