Kyrgyzstan hopes to increase its trade turnover to $3 billion this year, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbayev said on Saturday during the talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
He said 2021 and 2022 were very difficult years for everyone because of the pandemic.
"Despite the difficult conditions, we have maintained, and in some areas even strengthened our trade relations. The trade turnover between our countries reached more than $2 billion and grew by 46.5%. This once again confirms the potential for further increase in mutual trade and bring the volume of trade this year to $3 billion," said Kazakbayev.
He also noted that during the talks the parties noted with satisfaction the level of political dialogue, the dynamics of contacts at the highest and high level.
