An Iranian investor will start building grain storage in North Ossetia's most remote district of Mozdok in spring 2021 to further export to Iran. This was reported by the press service of the head and government of the republic.

"In March - April 2021 in Mozdok district of North Ossetia construction of a grain terminal will begin. The project will be implemented by the investor from Iran Akbari Kaffash Abolfazl," the report says. - "The project envisages construction of grain storage with a total capacity of 136 thousand tons and a processing complex for cleaning and drying of grain."

According to the investor, they have already reached an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture of Iran's largest region - Khorasan, as well as with several Iranian companies to supply fodder corn from North Ossetia after the production reaches its designed capacity.

The head of North Ossetia, Vyacheslav Bitarov, noted that the republic's leadership is aimed at helping investors and reducing administrative barriers for business. This policy has significantly improved the indicators of investment attractiveness: over the past four years, North Ossetia has risen by 33 points in the National rating of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives.

"North Ossetia is geographically close to regions that are major producers of grain crops in Russia. The terminal in Mozdok district will help concentrate a large amount of grain in one place, process it and export it directly to Iran," the investor said.
