This was announced on Thursday by the President of the Republic Sadyr Japarov at the meeting with Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC "Gazprom".

In his turn, Markelov assured that the Gazprom-Kyrgyzstan Company continues to build gas pipeline systems in the republic. He also "informed about the company's plans for the near future, including the improvement of the ecological situation in Bishkek through the gasification of households and enterprises." "Markelov noted that Gazprom continues to implement a number of social projects and programs, following the principles of high social responsibility," the press service report stresses.

"Gazprom bought shares of Kyrgyzgaz in 2014 for $1 and entered the market of the republic. Together with the assets, the Russian company also received the debts of "Kyrgyzgaz", which at that time amounted to about $40 million.
