Kazakhstan has signed a protocol to the intergovernmental agreement with Russia on trade and economic cooperation in the supply of oil and petroleum products. The document provides for cancellation of application of temporary customs declaration when exporting oil products from Russia to the republic, the press service of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy reported on Thursday.
"In order to cancel the temporary periodic customs declaration of oil products exported from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan on July 18, 2022, between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia signed a protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation in the supply of oil and oil products in Kazakhstan on December 9, 2010", the message reads.
As explained in the ministry, the cancellation of the temporary periodic customs declaration allows to exclude the possibility of reserving the entire volume of Russian oil products intended for delivery to Kazakhstan by one company. Signed intergovernmental protocol will come into force after the parties to the necessary domestic procedures.
