Khusnullin Regards KazanForum as Key Platform for Strengthening Ties with Islamic Countries

Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" International Economic Forum, underscored the forum's significance as a key platform for strengthening ties with nations in the Islamic economy.

 

"Today, the 'Russia - Islamic World' forum stands as the foremost platform for strengthening ties with Islamic economy nations. Russia, alongside Islamic countries, shares a common stance on fostering a fair and equitable multipolar world order founded upon principles of international law. The expansion of multifaceted cooperation with Islamic nations also encompasses economic dimensions, evidenced by a substantial increase in trade turnover over the past year," remarked Khusnullin, as quoted on the Russian government's website.

 

The expanded business program, outlined on the official forum website, highlights "Trust and Cooperation" as the central theme for KazanForum in 2024. The program encompasses various thematic tracks including international cooperation, tourism, business, science and technology, Islamic finance and investment, sports, halal industry, and more. Comprising 125 thematic sessions with participation from experts representing Russian regions, countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and others, the forum's plenary session is scheduled for May 17.

 

Notably, the forum anticipates participation from representatives of numerous countries including Azerbaijan, Algeria, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, the UAE, Syria, and others.

 

The International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" is slated to take place in Tatarstan from May 14 to 19. Concurrently, the Kazan Expo IEC will host the Russia Halal Expo international exhibition. The forum will also feature bilateral business meetings facilitating engagement between buyers, distributors of halal products, and 100 foreign specialists. Additionally, the Kazan Halal Market, Russia's largest halal trade fair, will showcase over 4,500 products from leading manufacturing companies across the Islamic world at the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park.
