Russian oil and gas equipment is in demand among customers from the US, Europe and the Middle East, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said in an address at the opening of the ADIPEC conference.
"We pay special attention to hydrocarbon production and processing technologies. Today the majority of oil and gas equipment at the Russian market is produced in Russia, and its quality is proved by steady demand of foreign customers from the US, Europe, India, and the Middle East," he said.
The Minister added that more than 80 Russian companies demonstrated their achievements in this sphere at the ADIPEC exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
He also noted the need for cooperation between Russia and the UAE in the field of "green" energy, including hydrogen energy.
"Despite the fact that oil and gas will remain the basis of the global energy balance for decades, both Russia and the UAE have been implementing "clean energy" projects for years. We believe that in this area we have a good potential to increase cooperation. And, of course, hydrogen power gains special importance in the context of the "green turnaround." To succeed in this field like in oil and gas, we need to combine our efforts and resources to accelerate the development of hydrogen technologies and promote joint projects in international markets," said the Minister.
Manturov added that he plans to discuss energy cooperation during the meeting of the Russia-UAE intergovernmental commission on Tuesday.
