Nesma Airlines has submitted a request to operate 27 weekly flights from Egypt to Russian cities. According to a note from the Egyptian Embassy in Moscow dated June 16, published on the Rosaviatsia website, the airline seeks permission to fly between Russian cities and Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada.
The request includes 27 flights on the following routes:
- 7 between Moscow and Sharm El-Sheikh
- 15 between Moscow and Hurghada
- 1 between St. Petersburg and Hurghada
- 1 between Kazan and Hurghada
- 1 between Sochi and Hurghada
- 1 between Mineralnye Vody and Hurghada
- 1 between Volgograd and Hurghada
Nesma Airlines was founded in 2008 by Saudi investors but was acquired by Egyptian owners in 2022. The airline operates both domestic and international flights to 10 countries, serving around 380,000 passengers annually. Nesma Airlines entered the Russian market in autumn 2024.
