Oman Seeks to Utilize Russian AI Technologies in Industry

25 February

Oman is interested in applying Russian artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in its industrial sector to accelerate economic growth. This was stated by Azza bint Suleiman al-Ismailiya, a member of the Sultanate’s State Council Committee on Technology and Innovation.

"Russian AI technologies could accelerate the growth of developing economies like ours. We are interested in exploring what AI solutions Russia is developing today and how we could participate in pilot projects and joint knowledge-sharing initiatives with Russia. We hope to be involved in such projects to promote similar initiatives within our country," al-Ismailiya said during a remote speech at a meeting in the Federation Council.

She emphasized that Oman is keen on establishing a systematic bilateral cooperation mechanism with Russia, primarily in AI and construction. "These technologies, applicable to our industry, are our priority for the near future," she stressed.
