Representatives from 74 countries have registered for Kazan Digital Week, the international forum opening in Kazan on September 17. The business program features more than 160 sessions, according to Tatarstan’s Minister of Digital Development Ayrat Khayrullin.
“This year, we expect a record number of participating countries — 74 have already confirmed. Alongside our regions and traditional partners, new participants will join us from India, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Pakistan, China, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova, Malaysia, Nigeria, Oman, Palestine, Senegal, Turkey, CIS states, and many others,” Khayrullin said at a press briefing. He also noted that 10 official foreign delegations are expected.
The forum’s business agenda includes more than 1,200 speakers — double that of 2024 — across ten thematic tracks. Experts will explore the role of digital technologies in governance, education, culture, healthcare, agriculture, cybersecurity, fintech, and intelligent transport systems. The plenary session will focus on technological leadership through artificial intelligence.
Exhibition and Side Events
Alongside the forum, an exhibition will host more than 280 companies. Around 32% of exhibitors are from Tatarstan, 60% represent Russian companies, and 8% are international firms. A startup alley will showcase 60 projects that emerged as winners of hackathons.
For the first time, Kazan Digital Week will feature a crypto forum, bringing together some 3,500 participants and more than 100 experts. Other new events include a “mini-robot battle” with 22 school teams from Tatarstan municipalities and 16 professional teams from across Russia.
Traditional highlights of the forum include the “IT Leader” competition, where 40 top companies showcase and promote innovative IT solutions, as well as a career fair as part of the dedicated career zone.
Kazan Digital Week 2025 will run from September 17 to 19. The event was first held in 2020, gained federal status in 2023, and last year drew over 19,000 participants.
