Pakistan Prefers Cooperation with Moscow, Says Russian Ambassador

19 March

Pakistan has chosen to strengthen its cooperation with Moscow after witnessing how “reliable” Western partners can be, Russian Ambassador to Islamabad Albert Khorev stated in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“The West’s own actions—aimed at fragmenting the global economic space, imposing illegal sanctions, and disrupting supply chains—have clearly demonstrated to Islamabad just how 'reliable' partners from the so-called 'golden billion' can be. As a result, Pakistan recognizes the importance of diversifying its foreign trade and financial ties,” Khorev explained.

He also noted that Russia and Pakistan continue to expand cooperation across various sectors. One key area of discussion is the establishment of transit routes to facilitate supply chains.

“There is a strong willingness to collaborate with Russia, both from Pakistan’s private sector and the government,” the ambassador emphasized.
