Russia is currently working on a proposal to establish a BRICS grain exchange, which will soon be shared with partner countries. The initiative was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev at the All-Russian Grain Forum.
“International cooperation is a key tool here. As you know, the BRICS nations have backed Russia’s idea of creating a dedicated grain exchange,” Patrushev said. “Right now, the government is developing a detailed concept that will be presented to our partners.”
The goal of the project is to strengthen the BRICS group’s food security and reduce reliance on Western trading platforms.
“I encourage all of you to get involved in this process,” Patrushev told forum attendees. “We need a transparent and reliable system for determining grain prices.”
