Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed in a video message to the participants of the 10th Russian-Kyrgyz interregional conference that engagement in the Eurasian Economic Union yields benefits for all member countries, including Kyrgyzstan.
"Eurasian integration undoubtedly offers significant benefits to all member countries, including Kyrgyzstan," emphasized the Russian leader. He highlighted that Kyrgyzstan's membership in the EEU has facilitated the expansion of the republic's interregional trade and industrial cooperation with Russia.
Putin highlighted that in the eight years since Kyrgyzstan's accession to the association, its industrial production has experienced a significant growth of 2.3 times, and the volume of exports has doubled.
"The Eurasian Development Bank has played an active role in attracting credit resources to support Kyrgyzstan, investing in major regional infrastructure projects. These projects include the reconstruction of the Toktogul HPP and the Bishkek-Osh highway. Additionally, the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development has facilitated the technological upgrade of Kambarata HPP-2 and improvements in the water management system in Osh region," Putin stated.
