At a meeting in the Kremlin with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the growing mutual investments between Russia and the United Arab Emirates. He noted that economic ties, including trade and investment, are developing actively at a high political level.
Putin specifically pointed out that Russian investments in the UAE significantly exceed those from the Emirates in Russia—by almost twofold. He also spoke about the dynamic cooperation between the UAE Sovereign Fund and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
“We thank you for the confidence you place in Russian investment professionals. This area is under our close attention and is yielding positive results,” Putin concluded.
