Rosatom to build several small HPPs in Kyrgyzstan

Rosatom Central Asia LLP (an enterprise of Rosatom State Corporation) will build several small hydropower plants under its own project in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported Thursday on the website of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF).


"The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund allocated a soft loan of $5.6 million for the construction of a small Leilek hydropower plant. <...> The project was developed by Rosatom Central Asia LLP (RF), which plans to build several small HPPs in Kyrgyzstan. It also will be the main supplier of equipment for Leilek HPP",  reads the press release of the fund. The capacity of the hydropower station will be 5.9 megawatts and its annual output will be 26.3 million kilowatt-hours. It will be able to cover more than 3.5% of Batken region's demand for electricity.
