Rosselkhoznadzor allowed imports of tomatoes from 34 enterprises of Uzbekistan from January 1

Rosselkhoznadzor allowed from January 1, 2021, the supply of tomatoes from 34 enterprises in Uzbekistan under the guarantees of the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate of the Republic, the agency said.


" The Federal Service for Veterinary Surveillance and Phytosanitary Control from January 1, 2021, under the guarantees of the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, allows the supply of tomatoes to Russia from 34 Uzbek enterprises. This decision was made on the basis of information provided by the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate on enterprises that are free of Tomato brown wrinkle fruit virus (ToBRFV)," it was reported.


Earlier, from December 18, it was allowed to import tomatoes from three other Uzbek enterprises located in the Ferghana region in Russia, the products of which during the inspection were free of tomato brown rugose fruit virus. Rosselkhoznadzor banned the import of tomatoes and peppers from the Fergana region of Uzbekistan since November 26 due to the detection of the tomato fruit brown wrinkle virus in them.
