Starting from January 1, Rosselkhoznadzor allows the import of tomatoes from 15 Azerbaijani enterprises into Russia, the agency reports.
"According to the results of negotiations, in accordance with the information provided and under the guarantees of the competent authority of Azerbaijan Republic, Rosselkhoznadzor considered it possible to allow the import of tomatoes from 15 Azerbaijani enterprises located in the areas where there were no detections of South American tomato moth in 2020 into Russia from January 1, 2021," the report says.
Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor allowed the import of tomatoes from 17 other Azerbaijani enterprises. As previously reported, since December 10, Rosselkhoznadzor banned the import of tomatoes and apples from Azerbaijan in connection with the detection of quarantine objects for the EEU - South American tomato moth and Oriental moth.
